MHUIRE MASTERY: LEINSTER GLORY FOR LOCAL STARS
The village of Ballynacargy is basking in reflected glory this week following Coláiste Mhuire’s historic Br Bosco Senior A Leinster Final victory at Cusack Park.
In a high-stakes encounter that gripped the community, Coláiste Mhuire displayed clinical precision to overcome Marist College on a scoreline of 3:16 to 2:13. While the match was a testament to the collective grit of the entire squad, the local pride was centred on Ballynacargy’s own Tristan Boyce-Jordan and James Baird, both of whom played pivotal roles in securing the silverware.
The "village buzz" translated into a massive sea of support in the stands, providing the vocal backdrop as the lads fought for every ball. This triumph marks the culmination of months of gruelling training sessions and unwavering dedication, cementing this team's legacy in the annals of Leinster school sports.
Final Score: Coláiste Mhuire 3:16 | Marist College 2:13

VOTE OF SYMPATHY: PHILOMENA SCOTT
It is with heavy hearts that we, at Ballynacargy GAA, extend our deepest sympathies to our long-standing member, supporter, and former executive member, Malachy Scott, on the passing of his beloved wife, Philomena.
Philomena passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 5th, surrounded by her loving family and in the exceptional care of the staff at Cavan General Hospital. A woman of great kindness, she will be dearly missed by the Ballinamuck and Ballynacargy communities alike.
Our thoughts and prayers remain with Malachy, his daughter-in-law Jenni, grandson Cillian, and the extended Scott and Ward families during this incredibly difficult time.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.
